Tesla announces that Supercharger locations will open in the US - Canada Today

Tesla has leaked the opening of Supercharger locations in the United States. The Supercharger Network is one of the pillars of Tesla’s success in the EV market. So it’s no wonder that Tesla has diligently expanded the reach of the Supercharger network over the past year.

Supercharger tracker @MarcoRPTesla found that Tesla “falsely” leaked the locations of at least 50 Supercharger installations in the United States and other territories.

Among the leaked locations was a Supercharger in Kahului, Hawaii. The state of Aloha was the last of the 50 United States to receive a Supercharger station. Hawaii also now has several Tesla Destination Chargers.

Tesla also plans to open another supercharger in Nephi, Utah. Tesla currently has around 15 Supercharger stations and almost as many Destination charging stations in Utah.

Tesla has also leaked more than a dozen Supercharger locations in California, specifically in San Jose, NorCal, and the LA/SoCal area. The company plans to build multiple Tesla charging stations in the mid-Atlantic coast and the southeast.

In the latest Find Us update, Tesla accidentally leaked address information for about 50 new Superchargers in the United States (and a few other locations). https://t.co/dAe2QTIcLi

Last week Tesla announced new Supercharger stations for North America, Europe and Asia. The new locations were voted on by the Tesla community. The 50 new Supercharger locations leaked recently appear to be different than those announced by Tesla last week.

Tesla’s new Supercharger installations are likely to be V3 models. Tesla is working on Supercharger V4 stands that will speed up charging and reduce turnaround times at stations. The first solar-powered V4 Supercharger station could open in Yuma County, Arizona.

Tesla is also expected to install Megachargers in Supercharger stations across the United States as production of the Semi ramps up. The company has already submitted a few proposals to the Canadian government that could lay the groundwork for the Semi’s arrival in Canada.
