Helm.ai, a startup developing software designed for advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous driving and robotics, recently raised USD 31 million in a Series C round led by Freeman Group, just one year after it snagged USD 26 million in venture funding.

The company’s valuation has increased to USD 431 million as a result of this most recent round, which also included strategic investors ACVC Partners, Amplo, Honda Motor Co., Goodyear Ventures, and Sungwoo Hitech. As part of this financing, Brandon Freeman, founder of the Freeman Group, will join the Helm.ai board of directors. To date, the company has raised USD 78 million.

The Menlo Park, California-based startup claims to have created software that can skip those steps, speeding up the process and cutting costs; this software is especially useful for advanced driver assistance systems because of its lower cost.
