ECOCEM's raw material is a granulated slag obtained from blast-furnace slag that has been rapidly cooled in a "granulator". Our product is part of Circular Economy. The granulated slag’s chemical composition is remarkably stable. Its stability, as well as its mineralogical composition are verified by an hourly analysis. The granulated slag is dried and then finely ground in order to be used as a substitute for cement, especially in concrete. The conversion process is therefore carried out in a grinder. In France, at Fos-sur-Mer and Dunkirk, we use a low-energy consumption, cutting-edge vertical mill that then recovers any energy which has not been consumed.
