Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 15th, the Shanghai headquartered port driverless autonomous driving commercial vehicle developer, Westwell, announced that it has successfully realized mass production of the world’s first intelligent battery-swapping driverless commercial vehicle, the Q-Truck.

The fully autonomous electric heavy-duty Q-Truck takes only six minutes to complete a battery-swapping session. The vehicle is self-developed by Westwell, setting a milestone in the commercialization process of the company.

Up to now, Westwell has been operating a driverless fleet of nearly a hundred vehicles across the world, including the Q-Truck, the intelligent straddle carrier for ZPMC, and the autonomous driving IGV vehicles.
In 2022, the company aims to simultaneously launch designated autonomous driving batter-swapping services in four countries worldwide.
Moreover, with its intelligent battery-swapping autonomous driving commercial vehicle being mass-produced, the company is expecting a profit soon. According to the founder and CEO of Westwell, Tan Limin, the company is eyeing an IPO as soon as the business matures.

Currently, the company has deployed its self-driving commercial vehicles in the Zhuhai Port, Tianjin Port domestically, as well as the Port of Laem Chabang in Thailand, and the Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Additionally, Westwell’s self-developed WellOcean AI smart port solution, and the Qomolo new energy driverless commercial solutions have been applied to over 80 ports and logistic parks across the world.
